The concept project represents a swimming pool complex, located in the South part of Sofia Ring road. The Olympic swimming pool is the center of the facility's function. Additional spaces for sport, recreation and commerce, like a Fitness hall, one Aerobics hall, a Restaurant and Cafe, and also two sports shops are arranged. Initially the project was designed with "exoskeleton" structure. Later it was re-designed with a glass facade outside of the "skeleton" structure. The project was designed and visualized in 2011 by me, and is part of my academic portfolio.

The Olympic pool is designed with a tower for water jumping. The South Terrace is connected with the jumping tower at the level of 5 meters, and also with the Fitness and Aerobics halls on the same level.

In the initial concept the roof was designed with two glass triangles on side, a total of four glass triangles with combined area of about 26% of the entire roof.

In order to achieve better insulation and lower maintenance cost for the building, the facade was re-designed on the outside of the structure. The chosen facade system was Schüco FW50+ ARC. On that drawing is displayed the tensioned steal ropes diaphragm, supporting the horizontal force implications on the facade.
